PROPERTIES Decorative and flexible resinous cement mortar with exceptional surface hardness, zero shrinkage and powerful adhesion. Suitable for both interior and exterior applications. This unique technological combination of three polymer resins, graded quartz aggregates, and high strength cement, produces a fine, waterproof and durable against wear surface without cracks. Coloring in its mass (*) by adding DUROCOLOR POWDER-C, the water-soluble pigments in powder form to create 96 unique colors. The product is distinguished for its high abrasion and scratch resistance, even when applied in just 2mm thick. The use of any fiberglass mesh or improving additive is not required. Classified: • as a product for protection of concrete surfaces (c), per EN 1504-2 (principles 2.5/MC, PR / humidity control, surface improvement) • as floor screed material in category CT-C16-F4-AR1 per EN 13813 • as render in category GP: CSIII / W2, per EN 998-1.
(*) Coloring in its mass by adding DUROCOLOR POWDER-C. • We choose one of the 96 shades of color chart. Pour the required amount of pigments into a clean container with 5.0-5.5lt of clean water, stirring well with a low speed drill. Add the White DS-259 DECO MICRO RESIN, until the mixture is completely homogenous. • Quantities over 250kg, to cover approximately 100m2, can be delivered factory colored in any available color from the DUROCOLOR POWDER-C color chart of 96 colors (special order with additional cost). APPLICATIONS DS-259 DECO MICRO RESIN is suitable for floor and wall applications, as well as built-in furniture, sinks, showers, wood doors, tables and more. Ideal for repairing and renewing weathered and worn-out microcement that failed. It is also ideal for repairing sections of damaged plaster as well as coating large surfaces when performing interior or exterior renovations. USE Surface preparation. All application surfaces must be free of dust, oily or loose materials. For new screed or plaster surfaces, the substrate must be flat, sound, free from dust, oils, loose materials and thoroughly soaked before the application. For applications on existing tiles, the joints must be filled first with the same product and once dry, coat the entire surface without using a primer. For new surfaces made of plaster or gypsum board, first prime using AQUAFIX.
For painted, sound surfaces, just lightly sand them with the appropriate sandpaper. For painted but peeling surfaces, first remove all loose sections and peeling paints, and clean them well. For wooden surfaces, first prime using DS-260 QUARTZ PRIMER or DS-290 of DUROSTICK. For uneven surfaces, apply fast setting adhesive SPEED SET of DUROSTICK and even the surfaces. It is highly recommended to maintain all substrate expansion joints. In any case, it is necessary to create expansion joints every 30-50m2. Application: Cover all surrounding surfaces to protect them from unnecessary stains. In a clean container, empty 20kg of DS-259 DECO MICRO RESIN (1 bag) into 5.0-5.5lt of cool, clean water. Using a low-rpm electric mixing drill, mix until a lump-free, homogeneous paste is created. Allow for the mixture to mature for 5-10 minutes and mix periodically during use. Apply using the STAINLESS STEEL TROWEL of DUROSTICK, in one or two coats, 1mm thick each one. Apply the second coat once the first one has thoroughly dried. Depending on the surface and the desired aesthetic result: For applications on large surfaces, and by using a stainless-steel trowel, press the surface of the fresh mortar in different directions almost immediately. For applications on smaller surfaces, allow for the mortar to mature and after spraying the surface with water (light wetting), press the surface of the mortar in different directions.
After 2 to 3 days have passed from the application completion (depending on the ambient conditions), and the product has fully cured and dried, it’s time to enhance the surface protection. On interior vertical surfaces, it is recommended to apply the matte varnish DECOFIN AQUA. On interior or exterior surfaces, it is recommended to apply the matte varnish VISTA, while where there is particular stress, such as floors, apply the 2 component polyurethane matt varnish DECOFIN POLYURETHANE or the water-soluble 2 component polyurethane matt varnish DECOFIN AQUA PU (ideal for indoor ventilation as it is odorless). For indoor surfaces where hygiene is a high requirement (bathrooms, washbasins, kitchen benches) it is recommended to apply the two-component epoxy varnish with gloss finish DECOFIN EPOXY SF or two-component epoxy varnish with satin finish DECOFIN EPOXY AQUA. To maintain and protect the selected color(s) and prevent DS-259 DECO MICRO RESIN from getting a significantly darker shade, it is best to apply the micromolar primer AQUAFIX of DUROSTICK before applying the protective varnish.
USEFUL TIPS • Do not apply in temperature below 5°C and over 35°C • During summer period, the final surface must be protected from intense sunshine for the next 24 hours after the application completion to avoid premature dehydration • Clean the top surface of DS-259 DECO MICRO RESIN using mild household detergents. Cleaning is greatly facilitated when the surface is protected by applying one of the special purposes DUROSTICK varnishes. CONSUMPTION 1-1.5kg/m2/mm per thick coat. Look for realistic samples of its shades

Any discrepancies between color chart and final result are due to precision shortcomings in the printing process.
