PROPERTIES

Black flexible adhesive sealant with proven resistance to sea water and UV radiation. The hybrid technology of the polymer modified silane based MS-Polymer sealant covers a multitude of application needs for waterproofing as well as sealing. Key features include high mechanical strengths, and unbreakable bonding. It is unaffected from prolonged sun and salts exposure. On curing, the productcan be sanded and it does not discolor.

APPLICATIONS

MS-POLYMER MARINE is suitable for sealing joints on yachtsand ships wooden decks. It is recommended for sealing wooden floor joints in homes, indoors and out, especially in saunas, swimming pools, fitness centers etc.

ADVANTAGES

• High resistance to sea water.

• Solvent free product.

• Resistant to temperature variations from -400C to +1200C.

• Applications on stable surfaces do not require any priming.

• A high thixotropy material; itdoes not sag.

USE

1. Surface preparation

The edges of the joints must be dry, clean and free from dust, grease and loose materials. Minimum width of the joint must be no less than 5mm. For joints greater than 12mm, the joint depth should be half its width. For joints less than 12mm, the joint depth should be equal to its width.

2. Application (It is recommended to)

Apply MS-POLYMER MARINE of DUROSTICK, in cartridge form, using the Professional grade Heavy Duty Cartridge Gun of DUROSTICK. The product is also available in 600ml 'sausage' tube and should be applied using the versatile, Professional grade Caulking Gun, DUROSEAL 600. Cut the nozzle on a slant and fill the joint tilting the cartridge at a 45o angle in relation to the joint (apply driving the cartridge alongside the joint axis at a 45o angle) thus making sure that air is not trapped under the sealant. Remove the excess material with a flexible spackling knife. Shape and finish the material before any (surface) skin formation.
