The experimental measurements were performed per EN 12004, in the Chemical Laboratory of DUROSTICK and were confirmed by the measurements of initial type from MIRTEC (Cert. no: 3676).

Cementitious adhesive, fortified with resins that develops its strengths early, for installing ceramic tiles, granite, and natural stones. It develops its early and final mechanical strengths rapidly. Presents zero vertical slip (pic.1), and is frost proof.
It allows for same day installation and grouting when there is pressure for delivery of a time sensitive project. That is why it is also absolutely necessary when expecting rainfall or low temperatures (below +4°C) developing in the installlation area, before any regular adhesive would have chance to mature.
Classified C2FT S1 per EN 12004 and EN 12002. (MIRTEC/Cert. No. 3676).

DUROFAST FLEX is suitable for wall and floor installations, indoors and out, on surfaces made of concrete, plaster, and existing tiles, as well as in areas with intense, permanent moisture.
It is highly recommended for tiling heavy traffic areas, as in car showrooms, shopping malls, super markets but also bathroom renovations, kitchens, roof tops and staircase installations etc. Adding DUROSTICK ACRYLIC EMULSION in the mixing water, at a ratio of 1:1, improves its technical characteristics, so as to meet the requirements of S2 class (highly deformable adhesive), per ΕΝ 12002, however this addition  affects its curing time.

• Surfaces can be grouted 3 hours from installation completion.
•  Allows for foot traffic after 2 hours.
• Allows for the speedy delivery of projects.

1. Surface preparation
The application surface have to be sound, clean, free of loose materials, dust, paint, grease and oil. The surface have to be soaked before the application.
It is necessary to prime all absorbent substrates and aircrete, using DUROSTICK ACRYLIC EMULSION or D-20, at a mixing ratio of 1:1 with water.
It is necessary to prime all drywall using the DUROSTICK micromolar stabilizer, AQUAFIX or the SOLVENT BASED PRIMER. Lightweight or else, unstable cement screeds, must necessarily be primed with DUROSTICK ACRYLIC EMULSION or D-20 at a ratio of 1part additive to 2 parts water or 1 part DUROMAX to 5 parts water.
Follow all balconies, terraces, bathrooms, showers and swimming pool applications by coating the substrate with HYDROSTOP FLOOR,  at 2-3 successive, crosswise layers to ensure the waterproofing of the substrate.

2. Application
Empty the adhesive into a clean container with cool water at a ratio of 2 parts water to 5 parts powder (6.5-7lt water to 25kg powder) and mix with a low speed, electric mixer until a lump free, homogenous mass is created.
Allow the mixture to mature for 5 minutes. During use mix periodically, without adding extra water.
Apply the adhesive using a notched trowel, and spread on the substrate.
Then, coat as much surface as required to work for the next 10 minutes (depending on the weather conditions), thus avoiding skin formation.
Finally, install the tiles in the selected position by tapping softly with a rubber mallet.

3-5kg/m², depending on the size of the notch of the trowel, the smoothness of the substrate and the dimensions of the tiles.

Clean all tools with water, immediately after use.

On outdoor surfaces, it is highly recommended to create expansion joints every 16-20m². Prime the expansion joints with PRIMER-PU, to improve grip, and seal them with the polyurethane sealant, DUROFLEX-PU. Similarly, seal all the joints (5-8mm) at the junction of the tiles and vertical surfaces throughout the perimeter. Alternatively the application of DS-POLYMER sealant, available in 32 shades (same ones with the grout colors of DUROSTICK), ensures sealing without cracking at the junction of the tiles with the skirting and above it as well. On floors with radiant heating, it is recommended to create expansion joints every 20m² and fill them with DS-POLYMER sealant, available in 32 shades.

Store in tightly closed packages, in dry and shaded places for a minimum of 12 months after production date.

The product contains Portland cement. Before using, refer to the cautions on the product’s package or the Material Safety Data Sheet.
