PROPERTIES



Fireproof sealant and adhesive, that is suitable for filling joints exposed to extreme temperatures, up to +1.200°C.
It does not crack in extreme temperature variations, and it firmly adheres to non-porous surfaces, fire (refractory) bricks and natural stone, concrete as well as cast iron, steel, brass and copper, etc.
Easy to work with, both on horizontal and vertical joints, without sagging. It does not contain asbestos.

APPLICATIONS

FIREPROOF is ideal for sealing, without priming, detached and weathered joints in fireplaces, stoves and barbeques. It is also suitable for chimneys and steam pipes, industrial ovens (pic.3), as well as wood stoves.

USE

1. Surface preparation
Surfaces to be bonded or to be grouted must be clean, free of loose materials, dust and oil.
Porous surfaces should be lightly soaked, while metal surfaces should be cleaned from any rust and/or paint.

2. Application
Insert the cartridge into the DUROSTICK Professional Cartridge Gun. Cut the nozzle on a slant, to the desired opening size. Fill the joint without allowing air to be trapped in the joint.
The use of masking tape is recommended before applying the product. It is also recommeded to smooth the product, after its application, using a damp sponge before its final hardening. Remove the masking tape before the material is cures completely.
Be advised, the hardened residues can only be removed by mechanical means.
Surfaces on which DUROSTICK FIREPROOF has been applied, can only be exposed to high temperatures, not earlier than 24 hours after application.

    10x10mm ≈ 4m/cartridges

CLEANING

Clean your hands and the tools with water, immediately after use.

STORAGE



Store in places protected from low temperatures and away from any heat source, for at least 12 months after production date.
