PROPERTIES

Two component, solvent free, epoxy grouting material. Available in 32 colors, based on epoxy resins and ultrafine silica aggregates. It has excellent resistance to acids, alkali, strong detergents, in many organic solvents, in both chlorinated and sea (salt) water.
It has excellent workability, and high adhesion to the sides of the tiles. It presents superb impermeability and stain resistance. It is non absorbent, and does not favor bacteria growth. It is easy to clean and exceptionally resilient in strict hygiene conditions (pic.1)
Suitable for grouting joint widths from 1-10mm, with a porcelain-like, perfectly smooth finish surface.
Easily cleaned, before hardened,  using DUROSTICK BIOCLEAN EPOXY GROUT CLEANER.
Classified RG per ΕΝ 13888.

APPLICATIONS

DUROSTICK EPOXY is suitable for polished granite and tile applications where aesthetics requires white or colored grout, whose color will not get affected from stains and dirt. Also use it to grout marble, thus preventing the absorption of water and pollutants, contrary to common, grouting with cement, practices that do not protect. Recommended in marble sculpting and grouting of mosaics in swimming and athletic pools, public toilets and bathrooms (pic. 3).
Exceptionally suitable for replacing existing, deteriorated by chlorine, cementitious grouts in pools, providing deteriorated grout is removed at a depth of at least 3-4mm.
It also provides unbreakable bonding for every difficult application with marble, without cracking.

USE

1. Substrate preparation
Remove from the joints and the marble or granite surface, any cementitious adhesive residues and all the dust.
2. Marble-granite installation
During marble installation (recommended marble adhesive, DUROSTICK D-23), use a small putty knife to apply EPOXY, on the sides of the marble, thus sealing and waterproofing the joint completely. The shiny finish of EPOXY fits perfectly with polished marble.
Fill the joint using a grouting float (pic.1, 2), working diagonally towards the grout joints, without leaving any gaps or residue.
This procedure prevents water penetration from the marble grout joints, especially outdoors

SURFACE CLEANING

Once EPOXY has slightly set, remove the excess material from the surfaces using a damp, stiff sponge. Proceed to the final cleaning using a clean, soft sponge that is washed often, with clean, warm water. The addition of up to 10% alcohol in the cleaning water facilitates the cleaning process. For faster and easier cleaning, use DUROSTICK BIOCLEAN EPOXY GROUT CLEANER.

CONSUMPTION

For grouting, the consumption is from
0.2-3kg/m², depending on the width and depth of the joint as well as the dimensions of the tiles.

STORAGE

Store in tightly closed packages, in dry and shaded places for at least 14 months after production date.

PACKAGING

Carton box with 12 pcs. of 500gr (A+B) each one
5kg container (A+B).

SAFETY DIRECTIONS

The product is classified as irritant. It is recommended to keep away from the reach of children. Before use, refer to the cautions on the product packaging or the Material Safety Data Sheet.

NOTES

• Remove all cracked and loose cementitious grouting, at a depth of at least 3-4mm. Thoroughly clean the sides of the tiles and remove all dust. Fill the joints with EPOXY, as described above.
• When completing any pool work with ambient temperature of +20°C and above, use the pool after 2 days. For situations with ambient temperatures of +20°C and below, use after 4 days.
• All epoxy systems are susceptible to environmental temperatures and humidity, until their complete hardening. Elevated temperatures result in the pot life reduction of the mixture. However, high humidity levels will result in clouded or discolored sections of the surface and increased curing time. Please note that after the mixing of the two components, the temperature of the product will increase.
• After hardening, the product is harmless to health and the environment.
