PROPERTIES

Highly flexible silicone that is long lasting, with excellent adhesion to non-porous surfaces. It resists mold and mildew, adverse weather conditions and UV radiation. It is resistant to detergents, acids and sea (salt) water. Its reaction to humidity assists the product to set quickly. It exhibits excellent bonding strength and long-term durability. It does not burst nor peel, even when filling joints that require high flexibility. It develops high mechanical strengths and withstands temperatures from -40°C to +150°C.

APPLICATIONS

Use  DUROSTICK SILICONE, without priming, on materials such as porcelain and glass, ceramic, enamel, polyester, stainless steel and anodized aluminum as well as varnished wood etc. It is suitable for sealing joints from 3-40mm wide, both indoors and out.
It is essential for sealing joints in kitchens countertops, stainless steel sinks, around bathroom sinks (pic.1) and bathtubs (pic.2), as well as porcelain or plastic shower bases. It is necessary for applications in industrial spaces which must be mold and mildew free. Recommended for assembling and sealing glass structures, but also for a multitude of plumbing, refrigeration, and electrical applications.

USE

1. Surface preparation
The substrate must be sound, dry and free of grease and dust. Apply masking tape on both sides of the joint and throughout its length, to avoid residue problems when cleaning. Remove the tape carefully after the application.
2. Application
Insert the cartridge into the DUROSTICK PROFESSIONAL GRADE CARTRIDGE GUN.  Cut the nozzle on a slant and fill the joint gradually, by tilting the gun at a 45° angle in relation to the joint, making sure that air is not trapped under the sealant. Dip a putty knife or your finger in soapy water and smooth the surface within the first 10 minutes of the application.

LIMITATIONS OF USE

It is not recommended for applications with marble, galvanized sheet metal, polyethylene (PE), and polypropylene (PP), teflon, as well as fishtanks and aquariums. It is not paintable.

CLEANING

Clean tools and hands using DUROSTICK BIOCLEAN biodegradable hand cream, while the silicone is still wet.

CONSUMPTION

Indicatively, one 280ml cartridge fills 8 linear meters of a 6x6mm joint.

STORAGE

Store in places protected from moisture, for at least 12 months from production date.

SAFETY DIRECTIONS

The product needs no hazard labeling under current European and national legislation. However it is recommended to keep away from the reach of children. If swallowed, seek medical advice and show the container or label.
