PROPERTIES

One component, polyurethane foam, with high adhesive strength and high thermal and sound insulation capacity. It cures by reacting with humidity, providing multiple solutions to various sealing problems in construction.
Distinguished for its high adhesion and its ability to secure all building materials after its complete curing. Provides high filling capability and secures powerfully. Available in light green.

APPLICATIONS

DUROSTICK D-2 polyurethane foam is ideal for mounting and securing frames and casings, doors and windows.
It secures partition walls to floors and ceilings, it mounts panels and electrical junction boxes.
Fills voids around cable and piping penetrations through walls and floors. It is suitable for sealing roof openings as well as insulation material gaps. Use it also for sound proof layering.

USE

1.Surface preparation
Surfaces must be sound and free of loose materials, oil or grease. Where necessary, protect the adjacent areas with masking tape. Continuing, soak the  surfaces lightly, so they are moist before applying of the material.
2. Application
Shake the D-2 container before the application. Press the valve, holding the bottle upside down. Starting from the deepest point, apply the material.
When dealing with openings greater than 5cm (width and depth), it is recommended to fill them with successive layers. Apply a coat every 15-30 minutes, making sure to lightly soak the previous coat, before applying the next one. Remove all residues with a knife, after the product hardens.
Surfaces can be spackled or painted after 24 hours.
Clean the valve with acetone, immediatelly after use.
When the product is no used all at once, after cleaning the valve, insert a damp match at the end of the valve until the next time of use.
If the product will be used within 15 minutes, it is not necessary to clean the valve .

CLEANING

Still fresh foam residues can be cleaned using acetone or white spirit.

CONSUMPTION

750ml yields 40lt of foam.
