The experimental measurements were performed per EN 12004, in the Chemical Laboratory of DUROSTICK and were confirmed by the measurements of initial type from MIRTEC (Cert. no: 3675) The following instrumentation was used:
• Flexion-compression: CONTROLS MCCC66 • Detachment: BRAIVE DYNATEST
• NOTE: The product exceeds on average the statutory requirements for C2 adhesive by 80%.

White adhesive reinforced with resins, for marble and granite installations. Distinguished for its extremely strong adhesion, initial and final adhesive strength. After its complete curing, it is moisture and frost resistant. It does not stain white and color marble.
Classified C2T per EN 12004. (MIRTEC/Cert. No. 3675).

DUROSTICK D-23 is suitable for marble and granite linings on walls, floors, stairs, both indoors and out (pic.1). It is necessary for installing textured marble and stone on building facades. Provides excellent adhesion to regular and irregular shaped floors slabs, subject to great stresses.
Adding DUROSTICK ACRYLIC EMULSION in the mixing water, at a ratio of 1:1, or 1 part DUROMAX to 5 parts water, further enhances its characteristics, so as to meet the requirements of S1 class (deformable adhesive) per EN 12002. With this improvement, the adhesive is perfectly appropriate for marble installations on building facades, up to 3m high and from 1-3cm thick, avoiding mechanical support (check with your local and National building codes). The enhanced, flexible adhesive is suitable for bonding marble and stone slabs over outdoor, expanding and contracting substrates and over radiant heating floorings.

1. Surface preparation
The application surface must be stable, clean, free of loose materials, dust, paint, grease, oil and it should be soaked before the application. All unstable and absorbent substrates must be primed, using the micromolar stabilizer, AQUAFIX. Alternatively, use the acrylic emulsion, D-20 of DUROSTICK diluted in clean water, at a mixing ratio of 1 part emulsion to 2 parts water, thus achieving an unbreakable bonding. For applications on balconies and roofs, coat the substrate with HYDROSTOP FLOOR, at 2-3 successive, crosswise layers to ensure the waterproofing of the substrate.

2. Application
Empty the adhesive into a clean container with cool water at a ratio of 2 parts water to 5 parts powder (7-7.5lt water to 25kg powder) and mix with a low speed, electric mixer until a lump free, homogenous mass is created. Allow the mixture to mature for 5-10 minutes, mixing periodically, without adding extra water. Apply the adhesive using a gauging trowel, ‘comb’ with a notched trowel and spread on the substrate. Then, coat as much surface as required to work with for the next 10-20 minutes (depending on the weather conditions), thus avoiding skin formation. Finally, install the tiles in the selected position by tapping softly with a rubber mallet.

4-7kg/m², depending on the size of the notch of the trowel, the smoothness of the substrate and the dimensions of the marble and stone slabs.

Clean all tools with water, immediately after use.

Store in tightly closed packages, in dry and shaded places for at least 12 months after production date.

The product contains Portland cement. Before use, refer to the cautions on the product packaging or the Material Safety Data Sheet.
