The experimental measurements were performed per EN 12004, in the Chemical Laboratory of DUROSTICK and were confirmed by the measurements of initial type from MIRTEC (Cert. no: 3355) The following instrumentation was used:
• Flexion-compression: CONTROLS MCCC66 • Detachment: BRAIVE DYNATEST
• NOTE: The product exceeds on average the statutory requirements for C2 adhesive by 95%.

One component, white cementitious adhesive, fortified with acrylic resins in powder form.
It contains selected low water absorption aggregates. Its unique flexible bonding power ensures all installations against detachments caused by vibrations generated, either from digging equipment working in adjacent areas, light earthquakes or severe expansions and contractions.
It remains unaffected by the presence of permanent moisture.
Its high thixotropy allows coatings in thickness of up to 20mm without ‘sagging’. Distinguished for its exceptional adhesion and zero vertical slip, as well as its resistance to moisture and frost. Classified C2TE S2 per EN 12004 and EN 12002. (MIRTEC/Cert. No. 3355).

ELASTIC is suitable for indoor and outdoor (pic. 3,4) installations with stable substrates, like:
•    Waterproofed surfaces with either elastomeric or brushable cementitious waterproofers.
•    Concrete, plaster or prefabricated concrete wall surfaces.
•    Floors with radiant heating.
•    Balconies, patios, terraces (pic. 4).
•    Spaces with permanent moisture, such as fountains (pic.2), bathrooms (pic.5), showers etc.
•    Mosaics or tile restorations in  swimming or athletic pools and heavy traffic areas.

ELASTIC ensures the installation of  all types of ceramic tiles and stone with zero absorbency, like:
•    Ceramic tiles of all shapes and sizes.
•    Glass mosaic, klinker, gres porcallanato.
•    Cotto, honed marble, artificial stones.
•    Low and non absorbent granite tiles of all types.
•    Extruded polyurethane and cork panels.
•    Every type of marble, even green marble.

ELASTIC does not require any kind of improving additive, due to its flexibility and exceptional properties.

1. Surface preparationThe application surface have to be sound, clean, free of loose materials, dust, paint, grease and oil.
The surface have to be soaked before the application. It is necessary to prime all absorbent substrates and aircrete, using DUROSTICK ACRYLIC EMULSION or D-20, at a mixing ratio of 1:1 with water. It is necessary to prime all drywall and plaster surfaces, using the DUROSTICK micromolar stabilizer, AQUAFIX or SOLVENT BASED PRIMER.
Lightweight or else, unstable cement screeds, must necessarily be primed with DUROSTICK ACRYLIC EMULSION or D-20 at a ratio of 1part additive to 2 parts water or 1 part DUROMAX to 5 parts water.
Follow all balconies, terraces, bathrooms, showers and swimming pool applications by coating the substrate with HYDROSTOP FLOOR, at 2-3 successive, crosswise layers to ensure the waterproofing of the substrate.

2. Application
Empty the adhesive into a clean container with cool water at a ratio of 2 parts water to 5 parts powder (6.5-7lt water to 25kg powder or 1.3-1.4lt water to 5kg powder) and mix with a low speed, electric mixer until a lump free, homogenous mass is created.
Allow the mixture to mature for 5-10 minutes. During use mix periodically, without adding extra water.
Apply the adhesive using a notched trowel, and spread on the substrate.
Then, coat as much surface as is required to work for the next 15-30 minutes (depending on weather conditions), thus avoiding skin formation. Finally, install the tiles in the selected position by tapping softly with a rubber mallet.

3-5kg/m², depending on the size of the notch of the trowel, the smoothness of the substrate and the dimensions of the tiles.

Store in tightly closed packages, in dry and shaded places for a minimum of 12 months after production date.

The product contains Portland cement. Before using, refer to the cautions on the product’s package or the Material Safety Data Sheet.

On outdoor surfaces, it is highly recommended to create expansion joints every 16-20m². Prime the expansion joints with PRIMER-PU, to improve grip, and seal them with the polyurethane sealant, DUROFLEX-PU. Similarly, seal all the joints (5-8mm) at the junction of the tiles and vertical surfaces throughout the perimeter. Alternatively the application of DS-POLYMER sealant, available in 32 shades (same ones with the grout colors of DUROSTICK), ensures sealing without cracking at the junction of the tiles with the skirting and above it as well. On floors with radiant heating, it is recommended to create expansion joints every 20m² and fill them with DS-POLYMER sealant, available in 32 shades.

Clean all tools with water, immediately after use.
