PROPERTIES

Two component, solvent free tile adhesive and grout. It contains epoxy based resins and selected quartz aggregates. Available in 32 selected colors.
Offers unique properties for tile installations of all types, for both adhesion and grouting stages.
Has excellent resistance to acids, alkali, strong detergents, in many organic solvents, in both chlorinated and sea (salt) water. It has excellent workability, and high adhesion to the sides of the tiles. It aslo presents impermeability and stain resistance. It does not favor bacteria growth and it is non absorbent, thus making it is easy to clean and exceptionally resilient in strict hygiene requirements.Provides unbreakable adhesion on stable and solid substrates. Suitable for grouting joint widths from 2-10 mm. Easily cleaned, before hardening, using DUROSTICK BIOCLEAN EPOXY GROUT CLEANER. As adhesive, it is classified R2T per EN 12004, and as grout, it is classified RG per ΕΝ 13888.

APPLICATIONS



DUROPOXY 32 colors is necessary in areas such as food industries (meat-fish-vegetable-fruit), slaughterhouses, canning factories, dairy facilities, wineries, chemical laboratories, pharmaceutical companies, car washes, public restrooms, swimming and athletic pools, kitchens  bathrooms etc. Suitable for horizontal and vertical applications, both indoors and out, without cracking.

USE

1. Substrate preparation for tile installation-application
Cementitious application surfaces must be clean, free from loose materials, dust, grease, oil, paint etc. If necessary, sand using an electric sander with #50 sandpaper or wire brush. In special cases, use sandblasting.
Empty the entire liquid B component (hardener), into the container with the A component (resin). Mix for about 5 minutes, using a low speed electric drill, until the complete homogenization of the two components is reached. Using a notched trowel, apply the mixed compound on the substrate evenly.
2. Grouting tiles - application
Remove from the tile surfaces and grout joints any adhesive residue and all the dust.
Fill the joints using a grouting float, by spreading and compacting the product, in a diagonal, to the joints, direction, without leaving any gaps and leftovers.

NOTES

• Remove any loose or cracked cementitious grouting material, approximately 3-4mm deep. After thoroughly cleaning the sides of the tiles and removing all the dust, fill all joints, using DUROPOXY, as described above.
• When completing any pool work with ambient temperature of +20°C and above, use the pool after 2 days. For situations with ambient temperatures of +20°C and below, use after 4 days.
• All epoxy systems are susceptible to environmental temperatures and humidity, until their complete hardened. Elevated temperatures result in the pot life reduction of the mixture.However, high humidity levels will result in clouded or discolored sections of the surface and increased curing time.
Please note that after mixing the two components, the temperature of the product will increase.
• After hardening, the product is harmless to health and the environment.

SURFACE CLEANING

Once DUROPOXY has slightly set, remove the excess material from the surfaces using a damp, stiff sponge.
Proceed to the final cleaning using a clean, soft sponge that is washed often, with clean lukewarm water. The addition of up to 10% alcohol in the cleaning water facilitates the cleaning process.
For faster and easier cleaning, use DUROSTICK BIOCLEAN EPOXY GROUT CLEANER.

SAFETY DIRECTIONS

The product is classified as irritant. It is recommended to keep away from reach of children. Before use, read the cautions on the product packaging or the Material Safety Data Sheet.

STORAGE

Store in dry and shaded places for a minimum of 14 months after production date.
